Purple House

Where purpose meets impact

Purple House, an innovative Indigenous-owned and operated health service based in Alice Springs, delivers life-saving dialysis care to remote clinics across Central Australia.

Kidney disease rates among remote Indigenous communities in Central Australia are up to 30 times higher than the national average. Many families face the heartbreaking reality of moving off-country to access dialysis in Alice Springs or Darwin, often leaving communities without elders, fracturing families, and weakening cultural ties. Patients often endure isolation and depression, tethered to dialysis machines far from the comfort of home.

Purple House is changing that. They’ve been pivotal in bringing patients back to their communities, ensuring families stay united and cultures thrive.

North was engaged to create the very first Purple House Social Impact Report. This report brings together powerful stories and meaningful data to showcase the incredible impact Purple House made during the 2023-24 financial year.
